Tai Tapu House and Garden Tour 2024

The Tai Tapu House and Garden Tour celebrates beautiful local homes and gardens, from historic to modern, rustic to luxurious. Come and enjoy a day in Tai Tapu, nestled in the foothills of Christchurch, a 20 minute drive from the city centre.

Following on from the success of our previous garden tours, Tai Tapu School have this year collaborated with neighbouring Ladbrooks School who share the same wonderful small rural school values as Tai Tapu School.

Together Tai Tapu School and Ladbrooks School will be showcasing not only beautiful gardens but some of Tai Tapu and neighbouring Ladbrooks' most stunning homes and interesting builds.

~ General Admission and Early Bird Tickets ~
Our General Admission and Early Bird tickets give you full access to all the homes and gardens on the tour. You will be provided with a map of the homes and gardens on the day. You can visit as many of the houses and gardens as you wish. This year we have a wide range of stunning homes and gardens for you to explore and enjoy.

Please bring your tickets to Tai Tapu School from 9:15am on the day, to receive your official map to gain entry into each property. The Houses and Gardens will be open from 10am - 4pm.

Enjoy your own private chauffeur for the day - in the executive luxury of a Polestar full EV provided by Giltrap Christchurch. You will be collected from your home (within Christchurch) and returned back to your doorstep at the end of the tour.

This year we have live music, art exhibitions, our famous plant stall and delicious lunch and coffee options available in and around several of the gardens. The Happy Gardener Rachel Vogan will also be on site at one of the gardens.

~ Food & Coffee ~
A variety of great lunch and coffee options will be available through out the day. Food and coffee trucks will be situated at various locations which will be marked on the map you will receive on the day.

~ Plant Stall ~
Our famous plant stall will be held in the grounds of one of the gardens, so bring a box and take home some plant goodies for your garden!
