Check out our latest exhibition with a guided talk and tour of Project Banaba.

During the tour you will be given an insight into the history of Banaba, an island in the Pacific Ocean which was destroyed by phosphate mining during the 20th century, leading to the total relocation of its people to Fiji in 1945.

This exhibition brings together rare historical archives and new work that sheds light on this little-known era of New Zealand's history and its ongoing impact on contemporary Pacific communities.

Free public programme, no booking required.
Please meet in the main foyer.
