The Stroke Foundation's Big Blood Pressure Van is on the road – and saving Kiwis from high blood pressure and stroke!

The van, which carries two blood pressure testing stations has visited communities all over the country and will be at NorthWest Shopping Centre on Thursday 22 August from 10am - 3pm.

Everyone can get a free blood pressure test – a simple, painless check that only takes a few minutes but could save someone from a lifetime of disability.

That’s because high blood pressure is the number one cause of strokes – but many people don’t know they have it.

But once diagnosed, high blood pressure can be treated – and that’s why the van is so important.

It’s tested more than 10,000 New Zealanders and referred many people to their doctor for a follow-up appointment – a potentially life-saving heads-up.
