HyperCinema – World's First Live AI Experience Hits Auckland Next Week

In a groundbreaking collaboration, the visionary behind Australasia’s Pop-up Globe theatre, Dr. Miles Gregory, and Emmy-nominated international creative digital agency Gladeye, are redefining entertainment with HyperCinema.

HyperCinema is the world's first live AI experience. It's a new kind of entertainment, where the audience member becomes the subject of a hyper-personalised moving-image experience. Through the power of AI, visitors literally become part of the stories and images on screen in a profound, sometimes hilarious individualised experience that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

HyperCinema will open for a limited 7-week season on 12th September at 131 Queen Street, Auckland. AI has had a huge impact on the digital landscape, but HyperCinema now brings this into the physical world, bringing people together in an act of communal storytelling. It's a glimpse into the future, where technology and artistry merge to create experiences that are truly one-of-a-kind.

Dr. Gregory, who attracted 750,000 people to his Pop-up Globe theatres, describes HyperCinema as "the world's first live AI experience. It's fun, playful, and thought-provoking." He adds, "Unlike traditional forms of entertainment, HyperCinema is an interactive arena where your presence, emotional responses, and choices actively shape the narrative. You are the star of the show”.

The first show at this new venue is called ‘Enter the Multiverse’. It’s a 45-minute experience that takes the audience on an immersive journey through many parallel worlds where anything can happen. Visitors, called “Heroes”, have their photo taken and are invited to play a simple, fun game that gathers their responses to a wide range of questions. These answers create a complex and unique, one-time set of visual and audio narratives for each Hero. All visitor data is deleted at the conclusion of their experience.

The experience has been created by leading NZ creative digital agency Gladeye, one of the world's most awarded digital storytelling agencies, with over 200 national and international awards including a nomination in this year’s Emmy awards.

Opening for a limited 7-week season, HyperCinema offers admission by timed entry. A single
Hero ticket-holder can be accompanied by up to two Companion ticket-holders throughout the
experience.

Tickets are on sale at Eventfinda from Thursday 7th September, with limited preview tickets starting at just $39 and doors opening from Tuesday 12th September.

After a limited preview season the HyperCinema will officially open with a grand opening night on 22 September, running through to 29 October.
