Ismo Leikola returns to New Zealand this May

Following his 2017 'Observing The Obvious ... Still' show in Auckland, iconic Finnish comedian Ismo Leikola is making his way back to NZ, bringing his latest 'Watch Your Language' tour to Auckland's SkyCity Theatre and Wellington's Tapere Nui Theatre, Te Auaha in May.

Dubbed as Laugh Factory's 'Funniest Person in the World' (2014), Ismo is an ultimate observer who's able to make people see familiar things anew through his unique perspective. Since entering the comedy scene in 2002, he's written and starred in two seasons of his own sitcom 'Ismo', and has become one of the top performing comedians today.

"Leikola is the Scandinavian Mitch Hedberg; an oddball with a few extra twists." - The List

"For a man speaking his second language, Ismo Leikola is uncannily incisive, charismatic and entertaining." - The Dubliner

"An excellent ambassador for stand-up." - Three Weeks

In December 2015, Ismo began playing packed-out venues across the US, Canada, Australia, Mexico and Europe. Within his spanning career, he's performed at some of the biggest comedy festivals including 'Just For Laughs' (Montreal, Toronto, Sydney and Bermuda), 'Sydney Comedy Festival', 'Melbourne Comedy Festival', 'Edinburgh Fringe' and 'The NZ International Comedy Festival'.

Apart from his viral performance—which garnered over 72 million YouTube views—on 'Conan' in 2018, Ismo has also made special appearances on the acclaimed American TV shows 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' and NBC’s 'Bring The Funny' and 'Last Call with Carson Daly'. Earlier this year, he teamed up with Merriam Webster to release a digital comedy series of videos roasting the English language.

With his "foreign abroad" shtick and off-kilter comedy, Ismo Leikola is one hilarious act not to be missed!
