Following the government's announcement to limit mass gatherings to 500 people or less, Banana Boat Ocean Swim Series have made the difficult decision to cancel their three remaining swim events in Rotorua, Tauranga and Auckland Harbour:
- Generation Homes Legend of the Lake - Sat 21 & Sun 22 March
- Generation Homes Sand to Surf - Sat 4 April
- Harcourts Cooper & Co Swim the Bridge - Sat 25 April
"Although it would have been possible to restructure the event day to meet this requirement, we felt the health and safety risks to continue would have been too great for swimmers, spectators, partners and our event crew.
