SZA announces headlining show in New Zealand this July

Award-winning R&B artist and multi-talented performer SZA has finally locked in her highly-anticipated headlining concert at Auckland's Spark Arena this July. Before her intimate NZ date, she will first sing her way to Australia, playing a trio of 'Splendour In The Grass' sideshows at Perth's HBF Stadium, Sydney's Hordern Pavilion and Melbourne's Margaret Court Arena.

The five-time Grammy Award nominee first entered the scene in 2012, with the critically-acclaimed EP 'See.SZA.Run' consecutively followed by 'Sand Z' to rave reviews. Her major-label debut record 'Ctrl' made SZA score the most nominations at the 2018 Grammy Awards. Certified RIAA Platinum, the record deservingly landed the no. 1 spot on Billboard’s R&B Albums chart, no. 2 on the R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart and no. 3 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album has been revered by fans and media alike for its raw and honest lyricism. Locally, 'Ctrl' tracks 'Love Galore' ft. Travis Scott achieved gold certification whilst 'The Weekend' claimed platinum status certification.

Influenced by avant-garde jazz, alternative rock, and hardcore rap, SZA has become one of the most seminal voices in modern R&B. She's a genre-blurring force akin to contemporaries such as Jorja Smith, Solange, H.E.R., Kehlani and Brent Faiyaz. Her polished artistry and songwriting talents extend far beyond her own projects. Her collaboration with Kendrick Lamar on 'All The Stars' for the 2018 blockbuster film 'Black Panther' garnered more than 20 nominations including: 'Best Original Song' at the Golden Globe Awards, 'Song of the Year', 'Best Rap/Sung Performance', 'Best Song Written for Visual Media' and 'Record of the Year' at the 2018 Grammy Awards.

Don't miss your chance to witness SZA's alluring performance in this one sultry evening of July.
