Postmodern Jukebox's 'Welcome to The Twenties 2.0 Tour' to hit NZ stages this 2019

One of music's well-loved collectives, Postmodern Jukebox, are singing their way back to NZ with their 'Welcome to The Twenties 2.0' tour this October 2019.

PMJ's tour opens up at Tauranga's Baycourt Community and Arts Centre and moves on to Auckland Town Hall, Hamilton's Claudelands Arena, Napier Municipal Theatre, Palmerston North's Regent on Broadway, Wellington's The Opera House, Christchurch's Isaac Theatre Royal before wrapping up at Dunedin's Regent Theatre.

Before wowing their fans in New Zealand, PMJ will first be in Australia to play a massive run of shows happening from September through to October. Their September performances include shows at the Darwin Entertainment Centre, Perth's Astor Theatre, Adelaide Entertainment Centre, St Kilda's Palais Theatre, Bendigo's Ulumbarra Theatre, Hobart's Odeon Theatre, Cairns Performing Arts Centre, Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre, Towoomba's Empire Theatres and QPAC Concert Hall.

The tour resumes in October with shows at The Star Gold Coast, Penrith's The Evan Theatre, Newcastle's Civic Theatre, Canberra's Llewellyn Hall, Sydney Opera House and Wollongong's Anita's Theatre.

The NZ and AU shows are part of PMJ's official 'Twenties 2.0' initiation performance parties that will see the group performing in nearly 250 cities all around the world to usher in the upcoming 2020s and welcome a new decade of music.

"Last time around the '20s gave us Jazz, America's one true art form. Who knows what is possible in the 2020s?" says Bradlee. "...We're using our small corner of the pop culture space to tell people to forget their troubles, and come join us for a night of celebrating true musical talent and timeless style—live and in real life."

Started by Scott Bradlee in 2009, Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ) have gone on to amass over one billion YouTube views with three million subscribers, and have chalked up more than one million fans on Facebook. For the past half-decade, PMJ have played hundreds of shows to sold-out houses on six continents. They've also performed on shows like 'Good Morning America', topped iTunes and Billboard charts, and caught the attention of NPR Music, NBC News and a wide array of celebrity fans.
