Air Supply return to Australia and New Zealand in 2019

One of Australia’s most loved and successful music exports Air Supply will return to New Zealand, hitting Auckland’s Bruce Mason Centre this April 2019.

Before playing their timeless hits to their Kiwi fans, Air Supply will first wind up their Australian tour where they’ll be performing a series of shows at Queensland's Performing Arts Centre, Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Sydney Opera House and Perth’s Astor Theatre.

Air Supply will perform all their greatest hits accompanied by their top-notch band and a 20-piece orchestra. All-time classics such as ‘Lost In Love’, ‘Love and Other Bruises’ and ‘All Out Of Love’ will be given a truly sumptuous presentation, solely dedicated to their eagerly-awaiting fans.

Air Supply’s albums ‘Lost In Love’, ‘The One That You Love’, ‘Now & Forever’, and ‘The Greatest Hits’ have sold in excess of 40 million copies. Classic track ‘Lost in Love’ was named Song of the Year in 1980 while their other hit singles have sold more than 10 million copies worldwide. ‘Lost in Love’, ‘All Out Of Love’, ‘The One That You Love’, ‘Sweet Dreams’, and ‘Making Love Out Of Nothing At All’ have each achieved multi-million plays on the radio.

Russell Hitchcock met Graham Russell on the first day of rehearsals as chorus members in the 1975 Sydney Harry M Miller production of Jesus Christ Superstar. They were drawn together through a mutual love of music, singing, The Beatles and when they quickly learnt they had both seen The Fab Four concert in 1964.

It was not long before the musical duo dominated charts in Australia, New Zealand and the world. Clive Davies famously signed them to Arista Records and began their US domination in 1980. With international hits such as ‘Lost In Love’, ‘Love and Other Bruises’, ‘Making Love Out Of Nothing At All’, ‘All Out Of Love’, ‘Now and Forever’ and so many more, Air Supply became global superstars.

Their unique harmonies combined with Graham’s ability to write exceptional songs made them one of Australia’s first and most successful musical acts. In 2013, the duo were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame and in 2018, Manila, Philippines saw the world premiere of ‘All Out Of Love’—a new musical featuring the iconic music of Air Supply, which opened to rave reviews.

Watch out for tickets and witness the gorgeous orchestral renditions of Air Supply’s catalogue of wonderful songs in their awe-inspiring concert this April 2019!
