Six60 to play one-off Auckland show next summer

Dunedin-based pop-rock favourites Six60 are bouncing back to the Kiwi stage to play their one-off summer concert at Auckland's Western Springs Stadium in February next year, making them the first Kiwi band ever to headline at the iconic venue.

Joining Six60 on stage as special guests will be some of the biggest Kiwi acts which include Drax Project, Sons of Zion, SWIDT and IllBaz.

The announcement came after their record-breaking 'The New Waves World Tour' last January which saw the five-piece play to over 40,000 fans. Their tour followed the release of their platinum certified six-track EP featuring their celebrated hits 'Don't Give It Up' and 'Vibes'.

Frontman Matiu Walters says playing a venue like Western Springs is a huge deal for the band and they're in full planning mode to make it an amazing experience for fans.

"We're going to be bringing some new music to the concert, as well as everyone's favourite songs and we're also focusing on how we can make the stage show really special. We're stoked that so many of our favourite acts are going to be playing the show with us." - Matiu Walters

"I have watched Six60 and their audience grow to something special over the past few years. Their recordings and live shows are phenomenal. Now I think it's time to present them on the biggest stage in New Zealand—the iconic Western Springs. We are very proud of what they've done and excited for them! This will be huge!" - Brent Eccles, Eccles Entertainment Promoter

This will be Six60's only show this summer so you better grab your tickets now!
