Def Leppard to run riot with their ‘Hysteria’ concert in Auckland this November

Seven years after their successful 'Mirror Ball' concert, phenomenal rock icons Def Leppard are back to finally play their landmark and longest-recording album 'Hysteria' at Auckland's Spark Arena this November.

Def Leppard's much-awaited NZ comeback comes as an extension to their 70+ US and UK tour dates this 2018, and they'll be bringing German rock legends Scorpions in tow. Before hearing the band's spine-tingling sound once again though, they will first be stopping by Australia for their intimate concert in Perth.

The 1987's 'Hysteria' is the groundbreaking, 12-track album that saw Def Leppard conquer the world, overcoming Rick Allen's car crash injury in 1984. Their enduring legacy lives on with their all-too familiar rock anthems such as 'Animal', 'Pour Some Sugar On Me', 'Hysteria', 'Armageddon It', 'Love Bites', 'Woman' and 'Rocket'.

"I'm delighted that we can bring the whole Hysteria album to New Zealand later this year. From 'Women' to 'Love and Affection' plus many other faves thrown in for good measure. We can't wait!" - Rick "Sav" Savage

As a cornerstone of rock and roll's history, Def Leppard's substantial career includes numerous hit singles including their first early chart hit 'Wasted' and MTV staples 'Bringin' On The Heartbreak', 'Photograph', 'Rock of Ages', 'Too Late' and 'Let's Get Rocked'.

Their ground-breaking multi-platinum albums—including two of the best-selling albums of all time with sales of more than 10 million copies each in the US alone, 'Pyromania' and 'Hysteria'—captured some of the group's legendary tracks, bringing together classic Leppard hits such as 'Pour Some Sugar on Me', 'Hysteria' and 'Foolin'.

The group continued their success, entering into the world of film, covers, and new collaborations including 'Two Steps Behind' from the film 'Last Action Hero', 'No Matter What', 'Waterloo Sunset' and 'Nine Lives' with Tim McGraw. 'When Love and Hate Collide', 'Slang', 'Work It Out', 'Promises' and 'Now' have also been some of the hit songs under their name.

The band's most recent self-titled studio album debuted at no. 1 on Billboard's Top Rock Albums and Top Independent Albums charts. The album also took the no. 5 spot on Billboard's Top Current Albums and no. 10 spot on the Top 200.

Def Leppard recently debuted their full recording catalogue and the response has been extraordinary! As their albums and singles re-enter the charts, Hysteria has reached the third spot in the USA iTunes chart and fifth spot in the UK iTunes chart. It's been one of the last multi-platinum selling acts to be made available on streaming and download platforms. Finally, all of Def Leppard's awe-inspiring music is available to everyone, from the band's eponymous debut EP through to their most recent album.

Joining the bill are living rock legends Scorpions. They're the first Western rock band to play ten consecutive sold-out shows in the then Soviet Leningrad in 1988. Returning the following year to play the Moscow Music Peace festival, the group ultimately conquered Russia inspiring frontman Klaus Meine to write the track that became a theme song to the Iron Curtain's fall: 'Wind of Change'. Their November performance will be their first-ever Kiwi show, hyping up rock aficionados even more!

Def Leppard are on their way to igniting this epic piece of rock music history, so buckle up and grab your tickets now!
