Montreal-based Genesis' tribute band The Musical Box will be hitting Wellington and Auckland this summer in celebration of Genesis' 50th anniversary, recreating iconic shows and performing hits from the prog pioneers' 1973 album 'Selling England by the Pound'.

Original and replica costumes, props and lighting from the 1974 tour bring Genesis' eccentric performances back to life again with giant sunflowers, bat wings, gladiators and double necked guitars.

"I was really impressed by the production quality and the attention to detail." - Peter Gabriel

"The Musical Box play it better than we did!" - Phil Collins

The Musical Box were formed in 1993, taking their name from the track included in the 1971 album 'Nursery Cryme' with the purpose of commemorating the 20th anniversary of 'Selling England by the Pound'. Since their formation, the band have presented close to 1000 concerts across the world to more than one million spectators, from The Royal Albert Hall in London, the Olympia in Paris to the Bell Center in Montreal.

Showcasing decades of Genesis legacy, their shows reproduce visuals and theatrical elements similar to that of a Genesis performance. With endorsements and support given by Genesis and Peter Gabriel, The Musical Box live performances have been highly regarded by the world, capturing hearts for years.
