Fall Out Boy Returns to New Zealand for One-off show Next Year

American rock group Fall Out Boy announce their comeback in Auckland in March 2018.

The Chicago natives will return to Kiwi soil in celebration of their seventh album 'Mania' due to be released in September. Fall Out Boy have been perennial chart-toppers and sold over 7.5 million albums since emerging as a mainstay of emo's mid-2000s heyday.

Fall Out Boy will be sharing the stage with indie-pop group Openside who recently hit the no. 1 spot on Spotify's NZ Viral Chart with their lastest single 'I Feel Nothing'.

A generation grew up singing their massive hits 'Sugar We're Going Down Down', 'Dance, Dance' and 'This Ain't A Scene It's An Arms Race' before the band took a three-year hiatus and re-emerged armed with even more hits in the form of 2015's smashes 'Centuries' and 'Uma Thurman'.

Last month, the group's just-released single 'Champion' is already making waves, once again proving the group's ability to keep coming back strong with their trademark pop culture sampling lyrical brilliance and punk energy-infused pop songwriting. In 2013, the band released their triple platinum comeback album called 'Save Rock and Roll'.

Fall Out Boy have successfully created a massive sound led by two of the biggest personalities in rock of the past decade, vocalist Patrick Stump and lyricist/bassist Pete Wentz. They've proved that staying relevant and successful is a true art form worthy of celebration.

"...they're one of the very few rock bands in the world capable of competing with the likes of Taylor Swift and Meghan Trainor in the Top 40." - Rolling Stone

Witness Fall Out Boy rock the night away once again with their massive dose of Mania next fall.
