Soundgarden, Faith No More, Judas Priest Headline Westfest
After the success of this year's event, that featured Korn, Rob Zombie and Megadeth, organisers have announced that the 2015 event will take place at the larger Alexandra Park.
Also due to perform at Westfest is All Time Low, Lagwagon, The Wonder Years and Crown the Empire.
Soundgarden were last in New Zealand for the Big Day Out in 2012, while Faith No More last performed in New Zealand in 2010, and their first album in 18 years is due for release next year.
A second lineup announcement featuring more international acts will be made next month. Westfest acts as an unofficial sideshow festival to Australia's touring Soundwave festival, with the two sharing a lot of the same acts.
