Head Like a Hole Free Auckland Gig
Head Like a Hole will play a one-off free gig at Auckland's King's Arms for iHeart Radio.

After rising to notoriety in the '90s with hits such as Fish Across Face, Wet Rubber and Faster Hooves, the group disbanded after turbulent times in the early 2000's. In 2011 they released their fifth studio album (their first in 14 years), and put their past troubles behind them. Another album is due for release later this year, and fans will get the chance to hear a preview of what's to come on Friday the 1st of August.

PRESS RELEASE:

iHeartRadio and Radio Hauraki Present Head Like a Hole
Live and rawkus for one free gig!

iHeartRadio is excited to bring yet another free concert to kiwis. This time it is going to be one for all the rock’n’roll fans… iHeartRadio and Radio Hauraki presents Head Like A Hole!

Head Like A Hole rose to notoriety in the 90s with hits such as Fish Across Face, Wet Rubber and their cover of Bruce Springsteen’s I’m on Fire. These hits are sure to get you all nostalgic and ready for one hell of a night, alongside all their new kick ass material. If the music alone isn’t enough to get you riled up and ready for a crazy night, the bands infamous antics on stage are sure to get the blood pumping.

Radio Hauraki’s Content Director, David Ridler says this will be a rock spectacle not to be missed.

“Head Like A Hole is a stable favourite at Hauraki and I am looking forward to seeing them live again. I remember seeing them at the 1997 Big Day Out and it was this performance that made me a fan for life. The Radio Hauraki listeners will be just as stoked as me to see the guys live at Kings Arms for free.”

In 2011 the band released their fifth studio album (their first in 14 years) and they are planning to release another album later this year. Attendees to the gig will have the chance to hear some of these new songs for the first time live, along with all the head banging hits from their previous albums.

The team at iHeartRadio is excited to be putting on another free concert for all their registered users. Anyone who wants to score themselves a double pass to the show, simply needs to head to the iHeart Radio website before midnight on Thursday 24th July, and register to go in the draw for tickets.
