Iconic Wellington venue Mighty Mighty will be closing in May, according to its owners.
This is grave news for the Wellington live music scene, coming within weeks of San Francisco Bathhouse closing (at least temporarily) and Puppies also announcing its imminent closure.
Mighty Mighty opened in 2006 and its original plan was to be open for two-three years, but the popularity of the venue has seen it last well past that timeframe.
There will be a series of farewell events, including the return of some of its favourite DJs and bands for a four-month-long last hurrah.
