Media release:
This years line up includes the legendary Herbs, a true household name in New Zealand music making their first appearance at Exodus.  Other first timers include Australian based Aotearoa reggae band Paua making a rare trip home to perform.   Raglan’s own Cornerstone Roots will be spreading conscious messages on the day as well as reggae pioneer, David Grace and Injustice, who’s song ‘Rua Kenana’ is a huge hit around the Pacific.

Returning to Exodus is some of our most loved Reggae Acts in New Zealand including Katchafire, showing why they are a force in the International scene, along with 1814 who are always crowd favourites.  South Auckland reggae kings Three Houses Down and Wellingtons Tomorrow People will be there bringing the best in Island reggae, along with the awesome talents of Sons Of Zion, Foundation and NRG Rising.

Rounding out the line up we have some the best and brightest new stars in Reggae music.  We know there are many up and coming acts and picking only a few was extremely difficult!!  This year we are proud to showcase the female vocal talents of Majic Pāora, along with Wairere Ropata who fronts four peice band Āio. Wellington band Brown Hill, who has recorded with Fiji and backed International Artists J Boog and Spawnbreezie will be there, along with Tasty Brown who recently released their debut album ‘Kitchen’.  Rounding out the upcoming bands, its an all family affair with the Pirihi brothers; Tribal Conexionz, and the sweet sounds of family band Sweet Echo from Tauranga and Tokoroa.

Very soon we will be holding a competition for Bands to be the Opening Act at Exodus!  This is a huge opportunity for all reggae bands out there to showcase their music.  Winners will be decided by public vote because we all want to hear the next new band to blow us away!  Competition details will be released soon.

We’re keeping the party going throughout the day with DJs playing on both stages during all band changeovers.  Its gonna be a huge reggae party not to be missed, so from all the team here at Reggae By Nature, Nau mai, Haere mai ki Papamoa this New Years Eve!
