Acclaimed singer/songwriter and founder of legendary band Split Enz Tim Finn will be playing a handful of exclusive shows in New Zealand from late November, with special guests The Sami Sisters, performing in Auckland, Wellington, Rangiora and Hamilton.
Finn tours across New Zealand in support of his latest album, The View Is Worth The Climb, which continues to garner praise from fans and media; including the New Zealand Herald; garnering 4.5 out of 5 stars and cited as “…a terrific album.”
Along with his band, Finn will be performing songs from the new album as well as classics from his time in both Split Enz and Crowded House… alongside songs from his own illustrious solo career. Fans can expect to hear songs such as “Poor Boy”, “Six Months In A Leaky Boat”, “Persuasion”, “I See Red” and “Weather With You”.
Finn continues to remain an important and relevant musical force, headlining festivals and inspiring a new generation of artists, so it’s no wonder the recent tribute albums (and accompanying They Will Have Their Way concerts) to Tim and brother Neil’s work have all sold out.
Finn’s new album The View Is Worth The Climb was produced by the Grammy Award winning Jacquire King (Kings Of Leon, Tom Waits, Cold War Kids) and was recorded over two weeks at Roundhead Studios in Auckland.
Already this year Tim Finn has headlined the St Kilda Festival, performed in the opening celebrations for the Rugby World Cup (to thousands of people in Auckland and broadcast to millions globally) and commenced work on an independent film score. There are plans for a US album release and tour in 2012.
In the meantime, New Zealand fans have the opportunity to catch an iconic artist in the true sense of the word. Ladies and gentleman we give you the mighty, Tim Finn.
