Tickets for the Whitianga Scallop Festival are on sale now. Ticket numbers have been reduced as has the price to create a boutique, grassroots experience. Over 1000 tickets have already sold via the pre-sale newsletter set up.
Masterchef Judge RayMcVinnie and contestant Tracey-Lee will be on stage doing cooking demonstrations, along with Hell's Kitchen runner up Bonnie Muirhead.
Iconic kiwi band dDub are back, New Zealand's latest sensation the Phil Edwards Band and crowd favourites the recliner Rockers will provide entertainment.
The Whitianga Scallop festival is looking for "the Worlds Best Scallop recipe" with amazing prizes up for grabs, including a one of a kind, hand-crafted pizza oven for your backyard. This year also features prizes for best dressed.
Visitors from all around the world will get a chance to sample local produce with over 50 wine and food stalls in attendance. This year, the Whitianga Scallop Festival will coincide with the Rugby World Cup.
