The Feelers Blue Skies Summer Tour

Introducing… The Blue Skies Summer Tour – 12 scorching shows nationwide and a set list of sensational summer anthems with legendary rock band the feelers, together with pop-rockers The Jordan Luck Band and ones to watch, The Earlybirds.

The tour kicks off at Hamilton’s Altitude Bar on December 18th and winds its way around some of the New Zealand’s finest summer spots before concluding at Auckland’s Powerstation on January 9th.

The feelers’ latest single Blue Skies is storming up the radio charts with lead singer James Reid amping to hit the road and play it to people , throwing in all the old favourites from the band’s previous four albums including hits Larger Than Life, One World, Communicate, plus some new songs thrown in for good measure.

Having taken away this year’s Tui award for Highest Selling NZ Album (feelers – The Best Of: 1998-2008), this will be the first time the guys have been on tour since 2008.

Says Reid, “Our ‘Best Of’ was kind of the end of a big chapter for us. It was 10 years or so of songs, four albums and a Greatest Hits.  We then took a break, are now recording and releasing under our own stream and for the first time recording and putting out a song just for summer.”

Jordan Luck, former front man and pop-writing genius with the legendary Exponents has clocked up a staggering 18 Top 40 singles over the years, with Victoria, Why Does Love Do This To Me, Your Best Friend Loves Me Too & I’ll Say Goodbye to name just a few. The Jordan Luck Band is renowned for its dynamic and memorable shows on the summer circuit. With their latest single How Is The Air Up There and new drummer Beaver (ex D4) on board, the JLB are armed with a one-hour back to back sing-along set list of hits.

Having already cut their teeth on the live circuit supporting Pluto, the Checks, Midnight Youth and the feelers, The Earlybirds promise to deliver. This introduction to the touring scene, combined with their arsenal of infectious tunes including their successful singles Runaway and I Killed The DJ will surely make these shows an occasion not to be missed.

Added to the run for one night only on New Year’s Eve is none other than ELEMENO P who, with their fellow rock buddies, will take South Island’s premiere summer holiday spot at Lake Hawea Hotel by storm for one unforgettable night of musical mayhem.

All shows are R18 and tickets are on sale via Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.co.nz / 0800 111 999, direct from the venues and local outlets.  For full event info see www.therock.net.nz. Tour details, shows and venue information is here.
