The spookiest night of the year is almost upon us... Be on your guard for ghosts and goblins out and about this Hallowe'en.
Many children will be trawling the streets looking like the dead in a quest for goodies (trick or treating) but the fun doesn't stop there.
This October 31st sees a whole stack of not quite so spooky things going on which will keep you entertained - and we've got the best of them, right here.
The Big Hallowe'en is probably one of the best events to take your children to - many parents these days worry about what kind of mischief the little ones will get up to on October 31st, so this is a chance for them to see live medieval enactments as well as bouncy castles.
Some of the country's top musicians are also using this frightening time of the year to showcase their talents.

Brooke Fraser also shows off her stunning vocal talents as part of the Albertine National Tour - but on Hallowe'en, she'll be at the Baycourt Theatre in Tauranga before heading to Auckland later in the week and then onto Hamilton, and finishing up in Whangarei. Joining her to provide support is Auckland favourites, OpShop, who will be gearing up for their appearance at Southern Amp 2 in Christchurch.
You can also check into the Hotel California which is setting up in New Plymouth as the Eagles Experience continues its nationwide tour nearly 25 years after the original artists went their separate ways.
And finally, if you prefer the comfort and warmth of the inside of a theatre to avoid all the pomp and ceremony of Hallowe'en, then there is still plenty going on.
As those outrageous Wests continue to wreak havoc on TV in "Outrageous Fortune", you've got the chance to check out two of the top actors from the show, Frank Whitten and Robyn Malcolm, strutting their stuff on stage in "The Cut". It's coming to the end of its season at Silo Theatre, so now is the time to make sure you head out and see two of New Zealand's finest in a live forum.
Also settling into its two week residency in Auckland (and an excuse for you to don a moustache and spandex a la Freddie Mercury) is Ben Elton's musical, "We Will Rock You." It's received plaudits from all over the world and had a residency in London's West End, so now is the time for you to sing a long to 24 of Queen's legendary hits.
