From the hit tv series, the all-star band Rock Star Supernova are about to rock New Zealand, playing next week in Christchuch, Wellington, and the brand spanking new Vector Arena in Auckland.

Featuring Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke and new lead vocalist Toronto native Lukas Rossi. Jason Newsted will not be performing on this tour due to injury, and former Black Crowes bassist Johnny Colt will be replacing him.

It wouldn’t be Rock Star Supernova without the Aussie who came oh-so close to winning, so Toby Rand and his band Juke Kartel will be the tour's very special guests.

Lukas Rossi, who joins the group after an exhaustive search spanning 25,000 entrants, 22 cities and 6 continents, describes his win as "the gig of a lifetime. That I'll be singing in a band with Tommy, Gilby and Jason - guys that I've always respected - is just surreal. Can't wait to get started."

"Lukas is the real deal," says Tommy Lee, who was in New Zealand last week along with Lukas to promo the tour. "Lukas proved that he's got the voice and swagger to front this band. He's gonna tear it up in the studio and then we're taking the show on the road. Wear a cup, kids."
