Summer is nearly here, which means its time for the annual Coromandel Pohutukawa Festival. This year's highlights include 2 outdoor concerts, the first on Saturday 2nd December at Waiomu, 12 km's up the the cost from Thames heading towards Coromandel. Headlining this year are dDub, with the Batacuda Sound Machine, Tourist, The Aviators and Kokomo.
The following Saturday Tairua hosts The Hot Grits, Pluto, Goldenhorse, Darcy Perry Blues, Tourist and The Aviators. Tickets are a must, so get in quick.
For those keen to work off Saturday's indulgence, the Whitianga Swim Classic is held at Buffalo Beach on Sunday.
