Saddle Up & Set Sail: Hunt For The Malthouse Treasure

Saddle Up & Set Sail is an exciting, swashbuckling adventure featuring the magical pirate Jack Albatross and "The Fastest Pun In The West... Coast" Silly The Kid. Our two heroes clash as both are searching for the same treasure, but over the course of the show learn to appreciate each others skills and learn about the value of teamwork and friendship. This show contains amazing magic, terrible jokes, line dancing, shoe-based combat and heaps of interaction with the kids.

Playing Jack Albatross is Steve Wilbury. Steve is a globe-trotting entertainer whose journey began on the streets with a deck of cards, a few circus props, and an irrepressible grin. Over the past twenty years, he has taken his unique blend of comedy, circus, and award-winning magic to audiences across five continents. Career highlights include five star reviews and festival awards, multiple international tours, and countless unforgettable performances at events ranging from street festivals to corporate galas. His shows also include heartfelt work about life with a disability and chronic pain. Steve shows how our most difficult circumstances can help us to see life as it really is.

The man behind Silly The Kid is 2x award-winning Christchurch comedian Taylor Ruddle. Taylor is known for his friendly, relaxed delivery and performs a mix of storytelling, one liners and satire in his cheeky pop-culture and wordplay-laden style.Taylor has been performing since 2015 and has opened for such acts as Aunty Donna, Joe Daymond and Blake Pavey. Taylor's most recent theatrical performance was as Papa Bear in the completely sold out 12 show run at The Malthouse Theatre in Christchurch.
