New Zealand's most awaited annual obstacle course race is back at its new regular time of late summer/early autumn and we'd like to invite you to our 10th anniversary which will be bigger and better than ever. With competitors coming from all over the world to compete in this multi-distance, multi-level racing event over 2 days in the stunning surrounds of the Upper Moutere!
There is something for everyone with our youngest competitors from 6yrs to 9yrs inclusive entering the first wave of the 2.5km mini's and their older counterparts of 10yrs - 13yrs inclusive fast on their heels. We have added and a 3km Elites, which adds a whole new element of speed to the park. This also allows for our elite competitors to have another shot at podium with our new trifecta - the other races are 5km elites, opens and teams and a10km also for elites, opens and teams. Don't worry anyone can enter as an elite - just be warned there's more burpees and tougher rules. Teams are a great way to start if you are not familiar with OCR - bring your friends and family (in fancy dress if you want to) and laugh your way through whilst helping one another. if you'd rather go it alone but you're not comfortable in elites enter an open race. If you don't want to race but like to see what's going on come and support, cheer everyone on. Bring something to sit on grab something to eat and drink from one of our food and drink trunks, listen to the music, and enjoy the hospitality. We're also looking for volunteers and helpers and it would be great if you'd like to join a team of likeminded people and get involved directly. We're a not for profit and we support 'Life Education Trust' We're created by the community, for the community. We're all inclusive and have excellent access and accessible toilets. Whatever you're background or ability we promise a great weekend. Bring your Granny, Bring your little ones but please leave your pets at home, this is also a smoke and alcohol free event.
