You are welcomed to a gentle, invitational yoga experience.
Terra-soma yoga (translating to earth-body) weaves together hatha yoga, somatic inquiry, and nature connection, inviting you into awareness of your inner terrain. This approach encourages you to meet yourself as you are — to listen to the intelligence of your body's own rhythms and sense how they echo the wider rhythms of the earth. Through this listening, we enter a living, evolving conversation about well-being and what it can look like in today’s world.
How is your heart? We often hear “follow your heart” or “listen to your heart,” but what does that actually mean? In this class, you’ll be invited into heart somatic enquiry - locating this intelligent organ, listening into this space, and perhaps allowing it to lead, inform, or express through movement.
The structure of this hour-long class includes:
A gentle lead-in towards the heart
A mixture of supine, seated, and standing asana
Repeated sequences with encouragement to make them your own — add or subtract asana, move in your own time, with your own breath
Optional free movement explorations
This is an invitational practice — everything is a choice, not a must. Tailor the practice to suit yourself. Come as you are; everyone and all of you is welcome.
Your ticket includes a nourishing plant-based dinner and dessert, making this an evening of movement, heartful awareness, and wholesome connection.
Meet Abbie, your facilitator,
Abbie is a 200-hour certified yoga teacher who trained with Awakening Arts: School of Yoga and Eco Somatic. She deeply values the insight, liberation, inner and collective resources somatic movement practices can offer. Abbie has also completed a 50-hour training exploring how yoga can support trauma awareness, mental health, and body image. She thrives in and intends to create spaces where each person’s pace is honored and the body’s innate wisdom is encouraged to emerge and lead.
