Take A Bow! 5-Day Theatre Holiday Programme

A 5-day creative workshop for children aged 7–13 yrs during the April school holidays.
Experience the magic of theatre and perform an original show for friends and family on The Rose Centre stage!
Location: The Rose Centre, Belmont
Dates: Sunday 13 April – Thursday 17 January 2025
Times: Sun - Wed 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Thurs 9:00am - 6:30pm
Final Performance: Thursday April 17th at 5:30 PM
About the Workshop:
Tailored for students aged 7–9 yrs and 10–13 yrs, this exciting programme offers the chance to build confidence and develop performance skills while creating a unique piece of theatre. Led by Kea Performing Arts’ professional tutors, students will learn the art of devising, rehearsing, and staging a show, culminating in a special performance for family and friends.
Students, split into two groups according to their age, explore various elements of stagecraft, including:
Ensemble work
Voice and movement
Improvisation and characterisation
Singing and script work (if required for the show)
The Rose Centre garden is a lovely space for fun and relaxation in our morning/afternoon tea and lunch breaks.
Designed to be both lots of fun and educational with a focus on creativity and collaboration, this workshop gives young performers a taste of what it takes to create a show for the stage!
Final Performance Details:
Families are invited to enjoy the final performance at 5:30 PM on Thursday, 2 tickets free of charge, (extra tickets $10 each.) Parents may collect their child at 3:00 PM Thursday as usual and return them at 4:30 PM to prepare for the show, or children are welcome to stay at the venue. If staying, please provide food and drink for your child and inform us by signing the sheet on Wednesday.
Cost: $ 350 per child. Extra sibling discount $315.
