Sound of Science School Holidays Workshops

School Holiday Science Workshops at Space Place. 15-23 April.

Hello science my old friend!

Tamariki aged 8-12 are invited to dive into the good vibrations we call sound at these school holiday workshops. Learn about the science of sounds we hear every day through hands-on experiments and exciting demos!

From creating soundwaves with tuning forks and ping pong balls to watching the mesmerising patterns of cymatic plates in action, tamariki will come home buzzing with new knowledge about vibrations, wavelengths, and how sound travels through the world around us.

The workshop rounds off with a screening in our full-dome planetarium.

Tamariki can be dropped-off in the morning and picked-up afterwards; caregivers are not required to stay for the duration of the workshop. Tamariki should bring a packed lunch.

Each Tuesday and Thursday of the April school holidays | 9:00am-1:00pm | Ages 8-12 | $65 per Tamariki
