Rewa Rides: Street Art Bike Challenge

Discover the vibrant street art of Manurewa and beyond on a fun and FREE guided ride! Led by our team from Bike Hub Manurewa, this ride will showcase stunning local street art, share stories behind the murals, and introduce you to safe and scenic cycling routes in our community.

This guided ride is a great way to take part in the Street Art Bike Challenge. Snap some pics of you and your bike at the street art stops, then submit them online for a chance to win awesome prizes!

What to expect:
- Explore local cycling routes and street art with experienced guides.
- Discover hidden gems and handy pathways.
- Ride at an easy, social pace – no pressure, just fun!
- FREE kai at the end to refuel.

Bring your own bike and helmet if you can, or borrow one of ours on the day (limited availability). Helmets must be worn.

Who can join?
- All ages and confidence levels welcome - if you can ride, you're good to go!
- Ages 13-18 can ride unaccompanied, but a parent/guardian must sign a consent form at the start.
- Under 13s must be accompanied by a parent/guardian

Pictured Artwork: Commissioned by Auckland Transport and painted by Paula Green in 2024, this mural is a way to beautify the new Bike Hub Manurewa and give it a unique personality. Some of the themes that come through are Pasifika patterns, navigation and migration, and transport, which speak to the community of Manurewa and the Bike Hub project.

This event is part of EcoFest, an annual month-long festival taking place 22 March - 22 April 2025. Inspiring environmental action across Tāmaki Makaurau, it is hosted in collaboration by EcoMatters, Kaipātiki Project, Beautification Trust and Waiheke Resources Trust, and proudly supported by Auckland Council.
