Looking for a local, regular, fun, and free 5K walking, jogging, or running event to join?
parkrun is a free community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer, or spectate. It takes place every Saturday morning and is 5K long. parkrun is positive, welcoming, and inclusive, with no time limit and no one finishing last. Everyone is welcome!
You only need to sign up once for a free barcode, then you can participate in any parkrun event. You can go at any speed you like, and nobody ever comes last. We have parkwalking volunteers who provide banter and a tailwalker to ensure no one finishes last.
Pegasus parkrun is located at Motu Quay, by the swing bridge (Bob's Bridge) on Lake Pegasus in Pegasus Town, Waimakariri District. The first-timers briefing is at 7:50 AM, where you can learn all about parkrun and ask questions. The run briefing is at 7:55 AM, and parkrun typically starts at 8:00 AM.
