Ingetje is a Documentary photographer that gives insights into worlds we would otherwise never see.
She has a unique approach and is very good at building the trust of her subjects before she works with them which gives an unseen point of view.
Her work is incredibly powerful and emotive.
An excerpt from National Geographic.
"In her gritty and powerful body of work, Ingetje Tadros provides an insider’s view of the struggles faced by remote Aboriginal communities dealing with the hardships stemming from dislocation. Her photos reflect the trust she has built within these communities and her empathy for the individuals who live far from the public eye. Ingetje occupies a unique place in the realm of social documentary photography, capturing the triumphs, tragedies, and diversity of people's lives through her intuitive storytelling. With a passion deeply rooted in humanitarian causes, her photography is often confronting and provocative, conveying a powerful message by telling the stories of individuals at a community level and bridging communication between different cultures on a global platform."
