With the luxury of time, perhaps a lowered expectation, and some haze-inducing drugs, a kind of sublime, relaxed psychedelia can be the happy result when you see Auckland's not The Church...but damn close, perform 'Live' in concert. not The Church...but damn close are a Duo that deliver a unique psychedelic and Sonic full band sound, performing songs from Australian Psychedelic icons 'The Church'.

It's been a long time coming and 'not The Church...but damn close' are finally bringing their melodic psychedelic 'Live' show to Stillwater Boating Club. The lads will also be introducing new original material from their other band 'Cobalt Blue', along with very special guests - 'After Hours'. 'After Hours' are a five piece local cover band with a difference, their 'Live' Set includes some wonderful versions of classics rarely covered, and they nail them.
