Enjoy captivating performances by two talented members of Rare Byrds, the Dunedin Medieval and Renaissance music ensemble, and keep an eye out for the jesters. Be bewitched by magical science that will have you questioning what’s real and what’s fantastical, and embark on a thrilling jousting tournament, where kids can test their bravery and skill in the ultimate medieval showdown.

Take a deep dive into the past with captivating talks, immersive gallery trails, and hands-on workshops where you can try your hand at ancient arts like calligraphy and gold leafing—skills fit for royalty.

Marvel at live demonstrations of medieval craftsmanship, from the forging of iron by blacksmiths to the intricate art of making chain mail, brought to you by our event partners, Dunedin Gasworks Museum.
