Louisa Nicklin has cemented herself as a songwriter to be reckoned with. Searingly honest lyrics, coupled with visceral guitar riffs and dark looping melodies make Nicklin’s music a totally enveloping world to experience. Her latest record The Big Sulk was produced by NZ rock royalty Shayne P. Carter (Dimmer, Straitjacket Fits).
Jazmine Mary plays idiosyncratic folk music that sparks melancholy and joy. Hot off the heels of their critically lauded 2023 album Dog, Jazmine Mary has recently opened for international acts Kurt Vile and Billy Bragg, and toured the country in support of Reb Fountain.
