Kids Kai Trail: Learn As You Grow

Join us for the Kids Kai Trail, an exciting adventure where learning and fun come together!

On 5 April 2024, Tamariki will embark on a hands-on journey at Jubilee Park in Te Puke.

The day will begin with planting seeds at the Māra Kai, followed by making seed bombs and discovering wild weeds. Kids will then harvest fresh veggies at the community garden, which they’ll later use as toppings for a pizza party.

Along the way, they’ll gain valuable knowledge about sustainable gardening, food production, and teamwork.

Each child will leave with a packet of seeds to continue their gardening adventure at home.

This is a perfect opportunity for Tamariki to get connected with nature and play an active role in their community’s Kai Resilience movement.

Registrations are for participating kids, no need to register yourself as the accompanying adult.
