The Wairarapa Arts Festival 2025 proudly presents: Holloway Hoopla!

This family-friendly event, on Holloway Street in Carterton is sure to entertain, with circus and street performers, food trucks, craft workshops, music and more.
Whether you are a long-time resident or new to our region, come and join us at the Holloway Hoopla. Get your family and friends together for some fun and festivities and have a hoopla of a time on Holloway Street! Bring a picnic or buy food on site.

The programme for the day is:

10am - Event starts with a 10 am show from Zappo the Magician; free facepainting; balloon twisting; bubbles and play equipment; DJ onsite; food and coffee; Alana Mays Paint and Pour Workshop (bookings required); Fairy Doors workshops all day.
11am - First Circus BBQ Party performance - The main event will be Circus BBQ Party from Colossal, an action packed, high energy explosion of colourful and skillful circus street theater! This show includes high skilled aerial circus, world class equilibristics, uniquely kiwi comedy and bizarre party tricks. All set on and around the humble BBQ.
12pm - Entertainment ongoing throughout the day
12.30pm - Alana Mays Paint and Pour Workshop 2 (bookings required)
1pm - Second Circus BBQ Party performance
2pm – Event ends.
