“Experience the Beat of Africa" is a community festival co-hosted by Glenfield Library and Kra KoTo Kra, a West African-style drumming ensemble. The event features an African drum (Djembe) performance with accompanying dancers, a drumming tutorial/workshop, a traditional costume exhibition, and a brief demonstration of drum-making.
Experience the powerful rhythms of inspired dance and learn about the symbolic and historical significance of Africa. Most importantly, practice the African drumming principle of 'everyone gathering together in peace.'
