Dunedin Writers Workshop

DWW welcomes all writers, hobbyist or professional. We’re a small and supportive group who ‘get’ what it’s like to have the curious urge to put pen to paper. The group can provide both emerging and more experienced writers with opportunities to connect and learn. We hold monthly meetings (second Wednesday) to discuss and practise the craft of writing. Guest speakers are invited to meetings several times a year to discuss their craft, run workshops, and give feedback on competition entries. We hold three writing competitions each year across a range of genres including flash fiction, poetry, essay forms and short stories; this gives members the opportunity to gain feedback on their work.

You may attend one meetings before you have to join the DWW. If you do decide to join, annual fees are on a sliding scale from $15 - $30.
