Join us for three days of learning, sharing and inspiration as we continue the kōrero to support and grow compassionate communities in Aotearoa. The theme for this year’s hui is ‘Building a Village of Support’ – for ourselves, our whānau and our communities.
Hosted by Go With Grace and North Haven Hospice, the 2025 hui is being made possible with support from our friends, Te Atawhai Aroha (hosts of the 2024 hui), Honohono Tātou Katoa and many others in our village.
We are planning an inspiring programme, with two days of speakers, workshops and connected experiences allowing us to share many perspectives around death, dying, caring and grieving. This is followed by a third day of optional interactive workshops.
We expect hui attendees will include health agencies, hospices, carers, volunteers, whānau, palliative care specialists, doulas, community leaders and organisations, wellness providers and more. Everyone connected to this space and this kaupapa is welcome.
There will be a number of optional workshops offered on Saturday 24th May which you can book at checkout. Find more information on the hui programme, workshops, venue, accommodation and more at https://gowithgrace.nz/ccahui25/
EVENT TICKETS
Your hui ticket covers two full days of presentations, connected experiences and interactive workshops held in Whangārei. Hear from a range of speakers, sharing lived experience and perspectives around death, dying, caring and grieving. Grow your own village of support to draw on personally and professionally and have a say in the future of compassionate communities in Aotearoa.
We’ve got you covered with nourishing morning and afternoon teas each day, including local plunger coffee and a selection of herbal teas. Just next door is Kai Toi Cafe, where barista coffee and other kai are available. Your ticket includes a delicious gourmet boxed lunch on day one from Whangārei’s renowned sourdough baker, All You Knead. We’ll also help you relax and transition between sessions with ‘wellbeing tasters’ and you’re all welcome to join a morning yoga/stretch class on day two before the formal part of the day begins.
During the hui, there will be a large focus on knowledge sharing, to ensure all participants leave with a full kete (basket) of resources and information to take back to their own communities and share with as many others as possible.
Your information will added to the Compassionate Communities Aotearoa national network directory of resources, knowledge and expertise for others working in this space to draw on.
Ticket sales close on Thursday 15th May.
TICKET TYPES
General Admission
This includes hui activities on both Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd May. Also included is lunch on Thursday, plus tea/coffee, morning & afternoon teas on both days.
Pay it Forward
To support those travelling from afar, who will have additional costs, as well as those not currently in a position to pay for their own ticket, we are promoting 'Pay it Forward' tickets, so those individuals or organisations who are able, can sponsor a ticket for someone who wouldn’t otherwise be able to attend. This is a great way for organisations to support and uplift carers and volunteers who support their services.
Groups Ticket
We're encouraging people to attend with colleagues to amplify shared learning across their organisation. Purchase groups of 3 tickets for a 15% discount.
Optional Addons
The optional workshops on Saturday 24th May, as well as the Thursday night dinner, can be selected once you have added your hui ticket to the shopping cart. You can also complete your ticket purchase for the hui and log back in at a later time to book your hui dinner and workshops.
Tickets are limited to 120 spaces!
