Anything Can Happen

Get ready for a night of fresh, risky fun from Improv Taranaki. And in April we're joined by a special guest - Jim Fishwick!

Jim Fishwick is an award-winning theatremaker, writer and teacher based on Gadigal land in Sydney, Australia. They are the general manager of Jetpack Theatre, creating experiential, interactive and immersive theatre, are the Artistic Co-Director of the New Zealand Improv Festival, and regularly teach and perform with Improv Theatre Sydney.

7pm: Anything Can Happen: Watch our cast of improvisers work it all out on the spot! Drawing inspiration directly from your audience suggestions, they'll create scenes on the spot, relying only on their quick thinking and wit. Every show is a one-of-a-kind adventure. It's fast paced, furious and guaranteed to keep you guessing. And you can enjoy the risk-taking from the safety of your seat - audience participation is optional!

830pm: The Correspondents: Extra! Extra! Latest edition! Top-flight reporters uncover a story as it’s developing in real time! The Correspondents is an unscripted play, where three actors weave together stories never told before and never to be told again, switching between their different perspectives to get at the truth. Directed by Jim Fishwick (Improv Theatre Sydney, New Zealand Improv Festival).

Note: These shows are for mature audiences - being improvised, we don't know what will happen, but there's always a chance it could include strong language and/or adult themes.
