On Matariki weekend, Bay of Plenty Symphonia joins forces with the Youth Philharmonic Tauranga to present a combined concert. One of the themes of the concert is 'family' - not only the YPT and BOPS families joining forces, but also literally families of musicians within the orchestras. Each orchestra will perform by itself as well as together. Featuring a mix of music by Stravinsky, Borodin, Shostakovich, Holst and more!
