Wilding Pines in the Whakatipu
Whakatipu Wilding Control Group (WCG) Annual Community Reporting Night

Wednesday 18 September 2024 | 5.30pm - 7.30pm
Memorial Centre Supper Room, Queenstown CBD

You’re invited to join the WCG team for a relaxing drink while listening to wilding control updates, learn about future plans & have any questions answered. We'll be highlighting some hard won successes and we’re excited to hear insights from two key speakers who have a wealth of conservation experience to share with us all.

Greg Lind, Co-Chair of Southern Lakes Sanctuary & Advisor to the National Parks and Conservation Foundation
Jamie Cowan, Wildfire Management Specialist

Our fantastic guest speakers will discuss their pioneering work in wilding control from over 15 years ago, shedding light on the challenges they faced in the Shotover area, which has now moved to a maintenance only phase proving landscape scale control is achievable.

We look forward to welcoming our community.

Gourmet pizza & platters kindly supplied by Skyline.
Complimentary drink on arrival.

Please RSVP for catering purposes to srose@whakatipuwilding.co.nz
