Weaving Words: An evening with Sandra Cisneros & Woven Writers

The University of Waikato, in partnership with the Aotearoa New Zealand Festival of the Arts, is thrilled to present Weaving Words - a literary event bringing together acclaimed international author Sandra Cisneros (The House on Mango Street, Woman Without Shame) with writers from Woven, a stunning new collaborative anthology of First Nation poets. The evening will open with an in-depth conversation with Sandra Cisneros, hosted by celebrated local poet essa may ranapiri, then Sandra and essa will join Woven poets Australia's Raelee Lancaster, and Aotearoa's Cassandra Barnett for a shared poetry reading along with Waikato Writer in Residence Ben Brown.
