Paint yourself a piece of expressive art, that reflects a perfect feeling.
Your own abstract canvas with natural colours.

Finding a natural source of colour made me do more art! Now any size and length project is doable and I don’t need to worry about sourcing the materials, or skimping on the experimental and improvisation stage, which is always the fun part!

Sepia brown and soft purplish blues, delicious brownish-black, and feminine layered pinks. All colours are in nature and ready to be used.

Immerse in the grounding experience of natural colour.

We will explore symbols and marks that have a special meaning to you and make a natural painintg. You may choose the colours to suit your interior, or express intuitively felt ideas.

No experience in painting is necessary! This class is as much of an art therapy as it is an exercise in reflecting nature as art.

My work is grounded in my childhood; mushroom and berry picking in the forest, the smells of flowers from my grandmother’s front garden, folk stories and traditions about herb harvesting.

Built on ancient and traditional colour making knowledge I have learned as a child from my grandmother and have spent years experimenting with local flora to create similar and spectacular results. I will generously share these methods with you as in detail as well as tips and secrets that I honed over years of practice and research.

Colours can come from common flowers, tree leaves, berries, herbs, nuts, shells, clays and barks. If you are looking at a plant, you are looking at a potential dye and a chemical-free process makes it safe.

What we will use: blank canvas (Choose the canvas size or bring your own, 30x30 inch max size). Natural dyes and pigments foraged and upcycled. Ink from acorns, deep luster grapeseed powder and other colours made by me. All vegan friendly and local.

What you will take home with you from this workshop: painted by you an art canvas ready to hang, fabric ribbons, upcycled paper book with written down recopies.

You can continue your artistic journey beyond the workshop, incorporating what you've learned into your own creative practices.

This workshop is a holistic and enriching experience that combines art, nature, and heritage. Participants are sure to leave feeling inspired and connected to both their artistic expression and the natural world around them.

Places are limited to ensure you get the most out of your experience.

Bring a friend ticket option available.

Participants must be aged 16 or over and under 18's must be accompanied by an appropriate, paying parent or guardian.
