DO YOUR BIT FOR CONSERVATION BY HELPING US CONTROL WILDING PINE SEEDLINGS ON THE WAIHAHA GREAT LAKE TRAIL, ALONGSIDE PT AND DOC STAFF FOR A LOVELY DAY OUT IN THE WESTERN BAYS OF LAKE TAUPO.

Wilding conifers (including Douglas Fir) are a serious threat to our local ecosystems. They seed and grow every easily in our region, creating competition for our native flora and fauna. Left unchecked, this wilding plantation will continue to grow and infect other nearby sites.

Come and help pull out wilding pine seedlings from beneath a mature stand as part of the ongoing wilding conifer control project.

It’s easy work, and your contribution will make a huge difference!

Bring along friends and whanau and a picnic for a lovely day’s outing.
