This February, the Otago Settlers Association’s Tuesday Club welcomes The Very Revd Dr Tony Curtis SCP, Dean of Dunedin.
St Paul’s Cathedral, the mother church of the Anglican Diocese of Dunedin, occupies a prominent position in the very heart of Dunedin. For well over 100 years, a building has stood in that spot, in one form or another, growing and transforming with the city. Most recently, the cathedral has undergone repairs due to a fire in 2020.
Father Tony presents a brief history of the cathedral, enlightening listeners to some of its lesser-known secrets, and revealing some of the plans for the cathedral’s future.
Father Tony is the current Dean of the Anglican Diocese of Dunedin, having moved to Dunedin from England to take up the role in 2020.
This event begins with refreshments and an opportunity to chat with Otago Settlers Association members.
