The Side Charachters

Loki, Max and Leo met through a Wellington band school about 18 months ago, and formed the busking band, The Side Characters. Since then, Rueben has joined the ensemble. Encompassing guitar, saxophone, keyboard and drums, they regularly busk in Cuba Mall to delighted audiences (who marvel at their age), and on NY’s Eve performed to a crowd of hundreds on the waterfront. They play an assortment of rock covers (Pixies, Amy Winehouse, White Stripes, Sublime, GnR, etc), but have also developed original music which has been described as Jazz Fusion.
