Waikato Museum's exhibition Six Extinctions explores the previous mass extinction events which have shaped the world we know today, and also the sixth and current extinction crisis – climate change. Take inspiration from this eye-opening exhibition for your storytelling and respond creatively to the theme "The Next Extinction".
If chosen as the winner, your short story will be published online by Mayhem Literary Journal. You'll also get a double pass to visit Six Extinctions.
