Legendary Rhythm & Blues exponents The Flaming Mudcats take their 15 year anniversary show on the road, playing songs from five albums and years of performing throughout New Zealand, the USA and Australia. You'll hear deep grooves, memorable songs and sublime musicianship as the band uses its affection for the authentic roots of the blues as a launching pad to a wide range of material.

The Flaming Mudcats are: Craig Bracken (Vocals, blues harp and sax), Ian Thomson (drums), Doug Bygrave ( guitar), Pete Parnham (bass) and Liam Ryan ( piano and Hammond organ).

Special guest Sarah Spicer brings her considerable talents as a singer/songwriter and Stateside collaborator with American blues legends (including John Lee Hooker). She will perform an opening set and will join the band near the end of the show.

This show comes on the back of the release of The Flaming Mudcats’ latest album, 'Til The Money's All Gone:

A great statement of contemporary Rhythm and Blues from the Flaming Mudcats, with eleven original songs, recorded live in the studio in a few days. It captures a great mix of blues, soul, funk and jazz with slick arrangements from a band who have honed their craft from years of live performance both here and the US. It’s a very enjoyable collection of great songs both joyful and heartfelt, bursting with life and ambition. – Midge Marsden, March 2024

Eleven new tunes mixing the sounds of West Coast, Chicago, Texas and America’s South. This is a great album for their fans new and old to enjoy. The boys from Auckland, NZ, have delivered another winner! – Steve Jones, BluesBlast Magazine, March 2024, Issue 18 – 12

If this band doesn’t get your toes tapping, then you must be dead!David James. Host of Saturday Night Blues 89.5 WNIJ Illinois USA
