This crowd pleaser and returning favourite are performing on Armistice Day in 2024, and will include a moving commemorative segment.
Based in Panmure and formed in 1864, The Royal NZ Artillery Band is the oldest military band in New Zealand and was part of the New Zealand Defence Force until the Reserve Bands were disestablished in 2012. However, it has battled on as a volunteer band, re-affiliated to 16th Field Regiment RNZ Artillery, and is happily in good shape, performing a very busy and varied schedule each year throughout Greater Auckland and beyond.
Auckland Live Morning Melodies is regarded as one of their major annual engagements, where they play a popular and entertaining programme, ranging from military and light classical to musicals and showbiz.
This performance is part of the Auckland Live Morning Melodies 2024 season.
In its 23rd year, this much-loved monthly concert series features a fantastic line-up of brass bands, jazz ensembles, and more. Arrive early and connect with friends new and old over complimentary tea and biscuits before the show.
